So what is a Lead Magnet?
A lead magnet is usually put on a capture page to entice your customers to solve a problem or issue that they have. You may want to give away a free eBook to help solve their problem or just to educate them.
In this way you will be exchanging some valuable information to them for their email address. You always want to lead with value!
How to go about creating the Lead Magnet:
The first step in creating a great lead sucking magnet is to identify who your ideal customer (also known as Avatar) is that you want to attract. I go into detail in this blog post “Have You Identified Your Ideal Customer Yet?”. If you would like to review that and learn how it’s done.
Once you have identified your Avatar then you will know what types of problems they are having and address those on your capture page. You will usually find that there will be more that one issue they are having.
Only use one problem at a time. If you use more than one problem, it will be confusing to your potential customers.

These are just a couple of examples of a Lead Magnet that converts like crazy for me. Take the time to identify your customer and then help them. It’s just that easy!
